The Middle East Peace Envoy for the Quartet (United States, European Union, United Nations and Russia) Tony Blair says an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement could be reached within the year but only if all sides agree to peaceful negotiations. The former British Prime Minister said there is a great sense of hope and expectation in the Middle East after United States President Obama's recent outreach to the Islamic world, and if everyone would commit themselves to a two state solution, this peace deal could be in place within the year.

Following the recent speech by United States President Obama to the Moslem world, there has been expectation that there is indeed hope for some kind of peace in the Middle East. The fact that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said he and Israel would accept a Palestinian state howbeit a demilitarized state has also given hope to those working for a peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Now, with Tony Blair's comments that there could be a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians within the year, the peace process seems to be moving towards a deal.

This scenario is really a page out of Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote of the revival of the Old Roman Empire which would be led by a world leader powerful enough to put this peace deal together. The prophecy of the Revived Roman Empire (Daniel 7:7,24) could well be fulfilled in the near future. The infrastructure actually is in place - that is the European Union. The world leader that comes from that political powerhouse (Daniel 7:8,24) could be the permanent president that is called for in the European Union's Lisbon Treaty. Daniel 9:27 does reveal this world leader will bring peace to the Middle East.

Tony Blair's declaration of a Middle East peace within the year does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Foreign Minister of Italy says if Europe does not have an army, the EU will become irrelevant

The foreign minister of Italy says his country will push for the creation of a European army after the new Europe takes shape, a result of all 27-member states in the EU adopting the Lisbon Treaty.

Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini says that with the Lisbon Treaty in force there is a risk that without a common foreign policy, Europe could become irrelevant in a world with China ruling the Pacific Axis and America in control of the Atlantic Axis.

Frattini believes a European army would cause the EU to develop a common foreign policy and then they could deal with issues like the Afghan War, the Iranian nuclear threat and all the rest of the problems in the Middle East.

The call for a European Army is a step closer to the revival of the old Roman Empire, a unique aspect of the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

With the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty by all 27-member states of the EU, this United States of Europe is at the point in history when they are ready to become a major power on the world scene. The EU has a common currency, the Euro and a legislative body, the European Parliament and with these both in place now, the call for a European army will put all the pieces in place to be the replica of the old Roman Empire.

Bible prophecy has called for a revival of the old Roman Empire from even before the Roman Empire came into existence over 2,000 years ago. The prophecy of Daniel revealed this pre-written history 2,500 years ago. When Daniel interpreted the dream of the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, he described the ten toes of iron and clay as the revived Roman Empire, Daniel 2:30-45. In Daniel's own dream, the prophet saw the Roman Empire with ten horns as the revival of the old Roman Empire, Daniel 7:7 and 24.

The Lisbon Treaty makes the EU a major political, economic and governmental force and with a European army, all the parts are in place for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

An international financial newspaper says that Israel is the main cause of Middle East problems

The Financial Times, a London based international newspaper, says, in its news coverage and its editorial pages over the last year, that Israel is the cause for all problems in the Middle East. The Financial Times believes the role of the Jewish settlements in Israel's Judea and Samaria, above any other single factor, is affecting the conflict and the newspaper, at the same time, downplays the other factors in the conflict such as terrorism and the political split between Hamas and Fatah, the two Palestinian factions.

An international opinion forming newspaper says that Israel is the main cause for problems in the Middle East and they may be correct according to Bible prophecy.

The Financial Times newspaper, based in London, England, has been taken to task by a media monitoring organization about their bias reporting about Israel as the publication claims that the conflict in the Middle East is all Israel's fault. The main source of agitation is the Jewish settlement activity in the area of Judea and Samaria according to The Financial Times.

I must say that to some extent The Financial Times is correct. Israel's presence in the Middle East is indeed a cause for that conflict that continues to unfold day by day. With 23 Arab states surrounding the 1 Jewish state and a population of 350 million Arabs and only about 5 million Jews, this little state has become more and more of an irritant every day to the Arabs and the Moslems in the Middle East.

However, you must remember that the land of the Jewish state is God's land (Leviticus 25:23) and God has given the land to the Jewish people. The Lord, through His ancient Jewish prophets, said that there would be trouble between Israel and her neighbors (Joel 2, Ezekiel 35, and Isaiah 17 - plus many other passages). In fact, the armies of the world will gather at Jerusalem in the last days to destroy the Jewish state and it is at that time that Jesus Christ comes back to save His chosen people, the Jewish people.

The Financial Times is correct. Israel is the cause of the Middle East conflict and that is based on Bible prophecy - that will be fulfilled.

Syria's foreign minister tells Israel that if the two countries go to war, it will be an all out war

Syria's Foreign Minister, Walid al-Moallem, warned Israel recently that in case of war, his country would attack Israel's home front, the cities of the Jewish state and that it would be an all out war between the two nations. Moallem said that Israel must stop being the neighborhood bully.

The Syrian foreign minister's warning came in reaction to a statement made by the Israeli Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, who said, at a conference in Israel, that if an agreement with Syria was not reached the two countries might be dragged into a forceful confrontation that may deteriorate into an all out war.

The verbal confrontation between Israel's defense minister and Syria's foreign minister is setting the stage for, as they say, an all out war between the two countries, which, by the way, is a page out of Bible prophecy.

For the last several years the tensions between Israel and Syria have been rising especially over the issue of the Golan Heights. Syria's President Assad has said that Syria will get the Golan Heights back either diplomatically or militarily. In fact, there is a large number of Syrian troops massed at Israel's northern border near Mount Hermon. There has been some diplomatic activity that gave a hint of negotiations resuming between Israel and Syria.

As of this moment nothing has developed along those lines. This prompted the Israeli defense minister to say if an agreement is not reached, war could break out between the two countries. An immediate reaction came from the Syrian foreign minister who said that if war breaks out, it will be an all out war and that Syrian war planes will take the war to Israel's home front, the cities of the Jewish state.

This report is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy, the prophecy of Daniel who foretold in Daniel 11:40-42 that Syria, in the passage referred to as the King of the North, will attack Israel. In fact, the Syrian attack on Israel will be the first move by an alignment of nations who will follow Syria in an attack on the Jewish state (Daniel 11:43-44, Ezekiel 38).

Palestinian TV features a ten year old boy who says he will liberate Palestine with his hands and his weapons

Palestinian Media Watch has footage of a ten year old Palestinian boy featured on Palestinian TV who is declaring that he will liberate Palestine from the Israeli occupiers with his own hands and with his weapons.

The footage was aired on the official PA TV news report recently and had the young Palestinian boy saying that Palestine was the heart of the Palestinian people which Itamar Marcus, the Director of Palestinian Media Watch, said that the footage was not as bad as the fact that the PA TV chose to broadcast it.

A news story broadcast on PA TV that has a young ten year old Palestinian boy calling for children to use their hands and their weapons to liberate Palestine by using violence to defeat the Israelis is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

Over the last decade, the Palestinian media has increased its usage of children's programming on TV and the use of children themselves to call for violence against the Jewish state of Israel as the Palestinians try to defeat the Jews and liberate Palestine for the Palestinian state. President Abbas of the PA has authorized such children's programming to use puppets and cartoon characters to incite violence against the Jewish state.

This present-day scenario fits the pattern for a last days scenario involving the Palestinians and the Jews in the conflict between the two. The ancient Jewish prophets prewrote history when they recorded the prophecies that foretell these types of end of times activities. Ezekiel wrote that the Palestinians would kill the Jews in the last days so they could take Jewish land as their own, Ezekiel 35. Malachi wrote that the Palestinians would return to power in Israel and set their own borders, borders that the Lord said would be borders of wickedness, Malachi 1. Obadiah wrote of the demise of the Palestinian people and Jeremiah 49 says that the Palestinian people would be as the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, people completely destroyed.

A top United States State Department official said recently that the goal of the United States in its negotiations in the Middle East is to pressure Israel to expel Jews from the Biblical lands of Judea and Samaria in Israel in order to end the occupation that began in 1967. William Burns, Under Secretary of State for political affairs at the State Department, said that the bottom line is clear - two states living side by side in peace and security, a Jewish state with true security and a viable independent Palestinian state that ends the occupation that has been in place for over 40 years.

A call by the United States State Department for Israel to evacuate the Jewish settlers from Judea and Samaria is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

There has been an ongoing debate between Israel and the rest of the world about the Jews living in the area of Judea and Samaria, known to some as the West Bank, if there is going to be any chance of a peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Israeli government after Israeli government has prolonged a decision on whether to concede to the pressure to remove the Jewish settlers and tear down these settlements. The almost 500,000 Jews who live in the area, many of them for almost 40 years now, say that they are not going to uproot their families and start all over again somewhere else in Israel. In fact, these settlers are determined to stay as they are no matter what the consequences.

Almost all of these settlers say they have a Biblical mandate to be living on this piece of real estate and they quote from the prophetic book of Ezekiel. These settlers are correct - the ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel did write 2500 years ago that God would give this land in particular to the Jewish people and that they would prosper on the land (Ezekiel 34 and 36).

These prophecies will be fulfilled, however, there is also Ezekiel 35 that will be fulfilled, a prophecy that says the Palestinians will rise up to take the land from the Jewish people. Even Ezekiel 37:15-23 foretelling two Jewish states in the region in the last days will be fulfilled. In fact, the stage is now set for all of these prophecies to be fulfilled in the very near future.

The Pentagon says US military strategies must focus on fighting mulitple wars

In a report released by the Defense Department, the United States military leadership says that they must focus on fighting a wide range of threats from cyber-attacks to terrorism and they have revised the previous objective of being equipped to fight two major conflicts at any time. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates says this new strategy accounts for threat such as cyber-attacks, Global Warming, and guerrilla style insurgencies, while at the same time, having enough men on the ground in the present war zones and any that may come up in the future.

The report says that the US military's top priority is to prevail in today's wars citing the need to dismantle terrorist networks in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The new strategy plan for the United States military calls for dealing with multiple wars in our world today, a precursor to the end time prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Strategic planners at the United States Defense Department have revised their military strategy to focus on fighting multiple wars all at the same time. With the onslaught of cyber-attacks on the Pentagon and even in war zones the top brass in the United States military said they must be prepared to deal with what comes their way. As every day passes the threat of terrorism or even guerrilla style insurgency must be an intricate aspect present day strategy for the military.

This report is in line with the end of days scenario found in Bible prophecy. Jesus, in the most powerful prophetic message he gave while here on Earth, the Olivet Discourse, recorded in Matthew 24. Jesus said that there would be wars and rumors of wars with nation fighting against nation and kingdom against kingdom (Matthew 24:6-7). In the book of Revelation we see the prophecies that also describe a period of wars, a seven year long period with the major wars at the beginning of this period (Revelation 6:3-4) and at the end of the seven years (Revelation 19). Each of the other Jewish prophets, 17 of them, also reveal a similar scenario for the last days.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told the American peace envoy that the Palestinian people will not accept any other city for the capital for their Palestinian state except Jerusalem and the Palestinians would insist on receiving control over the eastern section of the city of Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority president says it is very important that it would be clear which part of the capital, Jerusalem, belongs to the Palestinians and which part belongs to Israel.

The claim by the President of the Palestinian Authority that Jerusalem will be the capital of a Palestinian state is in contradiction to Bible prophecy for the last days and the Israelis and the Palestinians.

The Palestinians since 1967 have been claiming that their state, Palestine, that this state will have Jerusalem as its capital city. Meanwhile, the Israeli leaders say that Jerusalem is the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish people. There seems to be no middle ground for the Jews and the Palestinians and neither side is ready to compromise.

There are several thoughts that come to mind as I consider this complex situation. First of all, history reveals that there never has been a Palestinian state and thus Jerusalem has never been its capital. Secondly, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is about more than Jerusalem. The Palestinians don't want a Jewish state they want all of the land of Israel as their Palestinian state.

Bible prophecy speaks to both issues. The ancient Jewish prophets Ezekiel, Malachi, Jeremiah, and Obadiah say that in the end the Palestinians will be destroyed (Ezekiel 35, Malachi 1, Jeremiah 49, and the little book of Obadiah. Zechariah says that Jerusalem will be the center of controversy in the last days (Zechariah 12:2). But Zechariah also quotes Jesus in chapter 1:14-16 where it says Jesus will come back to Jerusalem and build His temple in the city.

The final solution for Jerusalem will be resolved by Bible prophecy - Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

The supreme ruler of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khomeini's statement that Israel will be destroyed is not correct. Iran and the Ayatollah will be destroyed that is according to Bible prophecy.

For a number of years the radical rhetoric of the Iranian President Ahmadinejad has called for the total destruction of the Jewish state of Israel. Now the supreme ruler of the Islamic republic, Ali Khomeini, is saying that Israel will be destroyed. This new declaration is different from what the Ayatollah had posted on his web site. The site quoted the Ayatollah as saying that Israel was a cancerous tumor that must be wiped off the map. These new comments mark the first time the Ayatollah has openly speculated about Israel's demise. The Bible contradicts the supreme Iranian ruler because God has a plan for the Jewish people and the Jewish people will never ever be totally destroyed.

Bible prophecy reveals that many people will try to eliminate the Jewish state including Iran - that's Ezekiel 38:5 Iran is referred to as Persia in this passage. Revelation 12:7-17 prewrites history about the angelic war in the heavens when Satan and his evil angels are defeated and they are cast down upon the Earth and go forward to kill all the Jews on the Earth (Revelation 12:13-17). The Devil knows that if he can kill all Jews, God wont be able to keep His promise to the Jewish people for the future and Satan then has defeated God and the Devil becomes the supreme being. However, that will never happen according to Revelation 20:7-10).

Israel could face an earthquake similar to the one that happened in Haiti

The Israeli government has an inter-ministerial steering committee for earthquake preparation that says Israel is not prepared for an earthquake, a strong earthquake as strong as the one which occurred in Haiti and maybe even stronger than that one.

Avi Shapira, who is chairman of the earthquake steering committee, says that many people will be killed, not by the earthquake, but the killing will occur with the collapse of buildings in Israel and this man-made disaster, ill prepared buildings, are death traps today.

Shapira said that one cannot predict the earthquake or the dates that they will occur but we must be realistic and make preparations because for sure, Israel will have a major earthquake in the future.

There is a major earthquake predicted to hit Israel possibly in the near future, that is according to the scientists, but also confirmed by Bible prophecy.

For a number of years, seismologists have said that a major earthquake of the magnitude of 7.0 on the ritcher scale or better could happen very soon according to all historic records on the subject. Political leaders in Israel fear a large number of deaths will take place when the earthquake happens because the building structures in Israel have not been built in preparation for such a large earthquake.

Recently, the state of Israel sent a large medical team into Haiti and a rescue team to help the people of Haiti who survived the large quake. Israeli officials say that this help to the Haitians may have helped Israel to prepare for its next earthquake.

Earthquakes are a major part of the end time scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy. Jesus, in His Olivet Discourse on prophecy, said that in the last days there will be many earthquakes in different locations across the world, Matthew 24:7. In Revelation 6:12, John the Apostle wrote of earthquakes in the future period of judgment on the earth. Revelation 16:18 speaks of the greatest earthquake to ever hit the earth, one that will destroy the headquarters of the Antichrist, the false messiah, and it will happen in Babylon, modern-day Iraq.

Each earthquake happening across our world is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Israeli PM says the world must stop calls to destroy Israel

As world leaders address the horrors of the Holocaust on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has called on the International Community to stop calls to destroy Israel and to fight Antisemitism that is increasing around the world.

In a recently released report on Antisemitism released by the Jewish agency, the agency chairman, Natan Sharonsky, said that Antisemitism is at the highest level since the close of WWII and there is a new Antisemitism in the form of unbridled attacks against the idea of a Jewish state.

As the world stopped to remember the murder of 6 million Jews on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, one must be reminded that the worst Holocaust is yet to come, that is according to Bible prophecy.

Several years ago, the UN adopted the plan to remember the 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis during WWII on International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Adolph Hitler's horrific crime against humanity killed 1/3 of the worldwide Jewish population in the 1930's and 40's, 6 million of the 18 million Jews living at that time.

Now, however the new Antisemitism is aimed at the state of Israel with calls by radicals to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. In fact, that radical call for the elimination of Israel is almost an exact quote from Psalm 83:4 which is part of a prayer by the Psalmist, made to God for His protection of the Jewish people. God will not allow the total elimination of the Jewish people, however, in the time of Jacob's Trouble, yet to come, the Jews will come under great persecution and many will be killed.

Revelation 12 reveals an angelic war that will take place with all evil angels being thrown to the earth where they will kill Jews, Revelation 12:7-17. Zechariah, an ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that during this time of judgment, two out of every three Jews will be killed, Zechariah 13:8.

As Satan tries to destroy the entire Jewish population so God cannot keep His promise to the Jews, the worst Holocaust will take place. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Syria's Bashar Assad and Libya's Koammar Khaddafi call for the Arab world to unite against Israel

In a meeting between Syrian President Assad and the Libyan leader Khaddafi, the two Arab leaders called for the Arab world to overcome their differences in order to promote their shared interests and to come against Israel for the oppressing siege imposed on the Gaza Strip and the fact that Israel is an obstacle to peace in the Middle East. Assad and Khaddafi, meeting before the Arab Summit planned for March, said that they must leave the next Arab Summit with results which will serve Arab interests and realize the aspirations of the Arab people.

The two Arab leaders called for reconciliation among the Palestinian factions in order to advance the Arab stand in the face of the reckless Israeli steps against the Palestinian people.

These two Arab leaders, Syrian President Assad and Libyan leader Khaddafi, who have called for the Arab world to unite against Israel, both have a long record of opposition to the Jewish state. Recently Bashar Assad warned Israel that if they did not give Syria the Golan Heights diplomatically that Assad would call for a military takeover of the Israeli real estate. Khaddafi, who heads up the African Union, and is known as the king of kings, has over the years been a champion of the Palestinian Arab struggle against Israel. Now Assad and Khaddafi want the Arab world to unite against Israel which is what the ancient Jewish prophets wrote would be the case in the end times scenario that seems to be unfolding today.

Daniel wrote in fact that Syria, referred to as the king of the north in Daniel 11:40-41, that Syria would make the first move against Israel. Ezekiel mentioned Libya (Ezekiel 38:5) and it said that Libya would also join an alignment of nations to go against the Jewish state. Other members of the Arab world including Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia will also join this coalition according to Bible prophecy.

A call for the Arab world to unite against Israel is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Jordan's ambassador to the United States says that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb

The Jordanian Ambassador to the United States, Zeid al-Hussein, says that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb where an attack by Jewish extremists on Moslem holy sites could erase any chances for peace between Israel and the Palestinians also undermining stability in the entire Moslem world. The ambassador said his country was worried that an incident on the Temple Mount could unleash emotions of an extreme nature and the consequences would be very severe.

The statement by the Jordanian ambassador to the United States that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb is actually a page out of Bible prophecy.

From 1948 through 1967 and the Six Day War, the Jordanian government had control of the Al Aqsa Mosque, the Islamic mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In fact, the Jordanians controlled the entire Temple Mount and allowed no Jews to enter the complex. The late King Hussein released control of the Temple Mount compound to the Palestinian Authority who have had custodial responsibilities of this holy site for the last 16 years. The Palestinian-Islamic Trust controls who can or cannot enter the compound. The Temple Mount or the Al-Aqsa, as the Moslems refer to this site, is the Islamic world's third holiest site. To the Jews and the Christians, it is their holiest site in the universe.

The statement by the Jordanian envoy is, in truth, reality. The Temple Mount, is indeed, a ticking time bomb. As I stated, this statement is a page out of Bible prophecy found in the prophetic book of Zechariah. The ancient Jewish prophet revealed 2500 years before the fact that Jerusalem and in particular the Temple Mount would be the center of controversy in the last days (Zechariah 12:2-3, 1:14-16). The prophetic phrase, "a cup of trembling" found in Zechariah 12:2 means that those who control this holy site will be intoxicated with power and will do so until the Messiah Jesus Christ returns to build His temple on this holy site.

The Islamic terrorist group Hamas says they have accepted Israel's right to be a state in the Middle East

Aziz Dwaik, the most senior representative of Hamas in the area of Judea and Samaria, says that Hamas has accepted Israel's right to exist and would be prepared to nullify its charter which calls for the destruction of the Jewish state. Dwaik is the elected speaker of the Palestinian legislative council, he was recently released from an Israeli prison and he made his statement in Hebron to an individual who maintains close ties with senior Israeli and British government officials.

Dwaik stressed that other Hamas leaders have expressed support for the idea and are ready to even nullify the Hamas charter and move forward with the establishment of a Palestinian state.

A senior Hamas official says the Palestinian terror organization is ready to recognize Israel's right to exist. It sounds good, but is it really true according to Bible prophecy?

For over 20 years Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic terror group, has said that Israel is illegal and does not have a right to be a state among the other states in the Middle East. The charter of Hamas has called for the total destruction of the Jewish state and the establishment of a Palestinian state on what is now Israel.

This latest claim by a senior Hamas official that Hamas is already recognized Israel's right to exist and is willing to rewrite its charter is somewhat of a shocker - if, in reality, it is true. I must remind you that Islam allows for one to lie in order to reach their ultimate goal. Bible prophecy reveals that the Palestinian people and in particular the ones who form these Palestinian terror groups are going to kill Jews and take their land (Ezekiel 35:5,10). Malachi, another Jewish prophet, in chapter 1 of his prophecy, says the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, will rebuild and set their borders - borders that God will despise. Obadiah 14 - 18 says that the Palestinian will be destroyed and Jeremiah adds that they will be as Sodom and Gomorrah (Jeremiah 49:18).

The recognition of Israel to exist by Hamas only sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

In a dramatic, come from behind victory for the vacant senate seat of the late Ted Kennedy, Independent Republican Scott Brown won the right to represent the people of Massachusetts in the US Senate, the first victory for a Republican since 1972 and the seat that had been held by the Kennedys, John and Ted for almost 50 years.

Brown, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves, ran on the issues that people seem to be worried about, taxes, health care, jobs and the external threat of terrorism on America and Brown said he will represent the people of Massachusetts against the threat of big government and increased spending.

Politicians on both sides of the aisle are taking a close look at the results of the race and trying to determine if they are in line with the people they represent or are they pressing for their own agenda in Washington.

The shocking results of the senatorial election in Massachusetts is a wake up call, but also an evidence that God has a plan for the future and He will use human government to fulfill His plan.

The politicos in Washington, D.C. and across the US woke up to a shocking result in the senatorial election in Massachusetts and many will go back to the drawing board to develop a new strategy for the future. Many political pundits will analyze and explain away the Brown victory in what should have been a shoe-in for the Democratic candidate in Massachusetts, but results still stand as they are. This shocker in the political world is a reminder that God is still in charge and according to Romans 13:1, there is no political leader elected except those who are ordained of God.

Romans 13:4 says that those in elected office are ministers of God. Genesis 9:6 is the record of how God established human government. The entire Bible is a history of how God has used human government to fulfill His will. In fact, Revelation 17:17 says that God puts in the hearts of political leaders to fulfill His will especially the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the future.

US military weapons have been inscribed with secret Jesus Bible code

According to an ABC Network News investigation, coded references to the New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ have been inscribed in high powered rifle sights provided to the US military by a Michigan company in violation of US military rules.

The rifle sights in question have been used by US troops, mostly Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of both Iraqi and Afghan soldiers, many of whom are of the Islamic faith.

US military rules specifically prohibit the proselytizing of any religion in Iraq or Afghanistan in order to prevent criticism that the US has embarked on a religious crusade in its war against Al Qaeda and Iraqi insurgents.

Bible verses inscribed on high powered rifle sights used in combat locations may be against US military rules, but it does speak to the prophetic scenario for the last days.

The ABC Network News investigation that revealed Bible verses being inscribed on rifles sights destined for combat troops in war zones is somewhat of a shocker to many of those who oppose Christianity in our world today. Most of the verses inscribed on the sights are speaking to the fact that Jesus Christ is the Light of the world needed in the dark places of this world, verses like II Corinthians 4:6 and John 18:12.

There were some verses included from Matthew and Revelation speaking of the prophetic scenario that calls for wars and rumors of wars from verses like Matthew 24:7 and numerous passages in Revelation referring to the end time wars.

It may be politically incorrect to have these Biblical verses inscribed on these rifle sights, but indeed it is prophetically correct in light of how these weapons will be used. Revelation 6:3-4 speak specifically of a major war in the Middle East and Revelation 18 foretells of Iraq, Biblical Babylon today, as the location of the military headquarters for the one-world dictator in the last days, the Antichrist.

Revelation 19 tells of the mother of all battles, the battle of Armageddon.

United States soldiers have been accused of damaging the ancient Biblical site of Babylon

According to reports from Iraqi officials, the United States military did major damage to the Biblical site of Babylon including the area of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon which was converted into Camp Alpha the site of a multinational military operation. Babylon, one of the wonders of the ancient world, was damaged when the United States soldiers and their contractors caused major damage to the Ishtar Gate and the Processional Way by digging, cutting, and leveling the areas to meet military standards.

The United States Defense Department has agreed to pay $800,000 to help restore the Babylon site, a gesture that Iraqi officials say will help them prepare the Biblical site to become a major tourist attraction for Iraq.

The fact that the United States military did harm to the ancient Biblical site of Babylon and will now pay to fix the damage is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

During the days of the late Saddam Hussein the ruler of modern day Iraq spent over 500 million dollars to refurbish the ancient city of Babylon located on the Euphrates River some 58 miles out of downtown Baghdad. In fact, Saddam thought that he himself was the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar who was the leader of the Babylonian Empire and the one who made the city of Babylon one of the Wonders of the Ancient World at that time in history. The fact that the United States military damaged this archaeological site is evidence that the prophecy of Jeremiah about Babylon has never been fulfilled.

Jeremiah, the ancient Jewish prophet in chapters 50 and 51 says seven times that Babylon will be completely destroyed and never lived in or visited ever again. Bible prophecy reveals that the literal city of Babylon will come back to power and will be the headquarters for a one world economic political governmental system to be headed up by the Antichrist (Revelation 18). The lead up to this happening will be the institution of a global economic structure (Revelation 13:16-17).

Before Babylon is completely destroyed, Jesus Christ will call Christians up to be with Him at the Rapture of the Church which could happen even today. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The United States Secretary of State says that Jewish communities in Biblical lands are illegitimate

On her travels to the Middle East to work on the peace process, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Arab leaders that Israeli settlements, Jewish communities, in Judea and Samaria, lands that belonged to the Jewish people thousands of years ago, that these Jewish communities now located in this land are illegitimate and they should be halted forever. The Secretary said that the United States would like to see the end of all settlement activity current, future, and forever.

The claim that Jewish communities in Biblical lands are illegitimate completely ignores history and the scenario for the future as revealed in Bible prophecy.

Since the Six Day War in 1967 Jews have been living in the land of their forefathers, the land referred to as the West Bank but known in Israel and to the Jewish families living there as Judea and Samaria. Though the Jews inhabited this land 3500 years ago, they returned to the area for the military purpose of setting up a buffer zone between Israel and the nations that tried to eliminate Israel in that Six Day War. Jews from all over the world have been coming back to their homeland for over 100 years and many of them, especially the religious Jews, believe this return was promised by God and foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets. For the United States to say these Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria are illegitimate and must be halted forever is a total contradiction of history.

3500 years ago, Joshua led the Jewish people into this disputed land and established the nation of Israel, that nation that God had promised and on the land that he promised (the entire book of Joshua). Prophetically, the United States is wrong as well since the ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel quoted God who said 18 times in one chapter, Ezekiel 34, that He would find the Jews that had scattered around the world and bring them into the land of their forefathers and He would do that in the last days.

The world has witnessed God fulfilling His promise over the last 60 years and for the United States to call this illegitimate will have no effect on Bible prophecy being fulfilled.

The International Court of the Sanhedrin, located in Jerusalem, has issued an injunction against the United Nations Security Council to prohibit them from discussing the Goldstone Report, a United Nations human rights report which is characterized as a malicious politicalization against the state of Israel in the most recent Gaza war by the Sanhedrin. The Sanhedrin is a judicial court recognized by the state of Israel but says its authority comes from the Bible and the Sanhedrin was active in Jerusalem 2000 years ago and believes that its authority dates back to the times of Moses and the giving of the Law on Mt. Sinai.

Until now the Sanhedrin had focuses its authority on issues surrounding the building of the next temple in Jerusalem but now believes this injunction issued to the United Nations is in line with the Scriptures and acts as a warning to all the nations of the world.

Along with the injunction issued by the Sanhedrin against the United Nations, this Jewish court has also issued a prophetic warning that has great significance for the end times.

The Sanhedrin is an august body of 70 wise Jewish scholars which was formed several years ago on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in Tiberius, the exact location where they has disappeared 1400 years ago. The Goldstone Report is a slanderous report against Israel and the Israeli Defense Force in the most recent military action in the Gaza Strip. The Sanhedrin issued this injunction against the United Nations discussing the report in the security council and at the same time, they issued a prophetic warning directed to the United Nations and the nations of the world.

The letter from the Sanhedrin to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, warned that the nations could face the judgment of God at the Valley of Jehoshaphat in Jerusalem if they continued their attack on Israel. The reference on the Valley of Jehoshaphat is found in the prophetic book of Joel in the Old Testament (Joel 3:1-2). This prophecy is indeed a warning to all the nations of the world about a judgment that they will face when the Messiah Jesus Christ comes back to the Earth at the end of the seven years of great judgment on the Earth.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his work on the Origin of Species, a survey was given to adults in ten countries of the world on 5 continents and the results indicate that more than half of those surveyed believed that creationism must be taught alongside the theory of evolution in the classroom. People were asked which of these origins of man was closest to their own opinion and on average 53% felt that creationism should be taught alongside Darwinism, a result that bothered the head of the Darwin Now program. Dr. Vern Baker said that the debate about Darwinism has been portrayed as very polarizing - science vs. religion.

The debate over the origins of man, Darwinism vs. creationism is a debate that has an interesting connection to the return of Jesus Christ at His Second Coming.

For over 150 years there has been a debate on the origins of man and the leader of the opposition fighting against the Biblical account of Creation, Charles Darwin, has been the center focus in this debate. Darwin's work, The Origins of Man, published 150 years ago, forms the debate as science vs. religion. The world bought into the idea that Darwin had science on his side in the debate. This argument has been disqualified by the reality of the scientific world questioning some of Darwin's theory as just that - a theory on the origins of man not scientific fact.

The Bible speaks to this issue as a significant attitude that will be prevalent at the time of the return of Jesus Christ to the Earth. The Apostle Peter wrote in II Peter 3 that there would be those who deny the return of the Lord Jesus Christ as they also deny the Creation account in Genesis 1 (II Peter 3:3-5). The truth be known, both Creation and the theory of evolution must be taken by faith, but the Biblical account gives us an eyewitness account of the origins of man where God created all things and then gave Moses the account of what happened so that he could record it in the Bible.

The Iraqi government wants to rebuild its nuclear reactors and become a nuclear player again

Almost 19 years after British and American war planes destroyed Saddam Hussein's last two nuclear reactors, the Iraqi government has started working for approval to become a nuclear player in the Middle East and has approached the French nuclear industry about building at least one of the reactors that was bombed at the start of the first Gulf War.

Iraq's renewed interest in the nuclear industry comes at a time when its near neighbor, Iran, is accused of diverting its growing nuclear capacity to develop a nuclear weapons program.

Back in the 1980's, the Israeli government sent war planes into Iraq to take out a nuclear reactor that kept Saddam Hussein's government from becoming a major nuclear power at that time. British and American war planes in the 1990's finished off the last two nuclear reactors that the Iraqi's had for developing nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD).

Now, the Iraqi's want to restart its nuclear program and once again become a nuclear player in the Middle East. With its neighbor Iran developing a nuclear WMD, Iraq believes that it has to stay on an equal footing in order to maintain its security which is actually logical thinking. However, this scenario also is a precursor to a prophetic scenario for the end times found in Bible prophecy.

The ancient Jewish prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah both wrote of a day when Iraq, biblical Babylon, would be a major player not only in the Middle East but the entire world, Isaiah 13-14 and Jeremiah 50-51. John the Apostle who wrote the book of Revelation, revealed that Iraq, biblical Babylon, would be the center of world power in the last 3 1/2 years of the seven year Tribulation Period, a period just prior to the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Revelation 18.

Pope Benedict has approved a new church provision that will allow non-Catholics and in particular, the Anglicans, to convert to Catholicism while at the same time, maintaining many of their distinctive spiritual and liturgical traditions.

The Vatican made this decision in response to the disillusionment of some Anglicans over the election of openly gay bishops and the blessing of same sex marriage which has caused a major uproar in the Anglican church not only in England, but across the world.

This never-before provision for Protestants to become a part of the Catholic Church has many Protestant leaders concerned about the breakdown in doctrinal differences between the Catholics and Protestants that came out of the Reformation 500 years ago.

In response to the outcry by the Church of England, the Anglicans, about women bishops, openly gay bishops and gay unions, the Vatican has made a way to accommodate these disgruntled Protestants. This Vatican accommodation to Protestants has Protestant Church leaders preparing to see a flow of new converts to Catholicism and its liturgical pattern of worship especially in light of the growth of the emerging church philosophy.

Revelation 17 predicts a worldwide church will be in operation during the seven year period of judgment found in Bible prophecy and known as the Tribulation. In the first 3 1/2 years of this time in the future, this one-world religion will be headquartered in a seven-hilled city, Revelation 17:9, and that city would be the city of Rome, the location of the Vatican. This mother-son cult first established in Babylon 4,500 years ago, Genesis 11:4b, has survived history and will play a major role in the last days.

Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, the father of modern-day Hebrew, has been honored by Israel as the leaders of the Jewish state declared Ben-Yehuda's birthday as Hebrew Day, a day when the Jewish people reflect on how one man could almost single-handedly revived the language of the ancient Jewish people. Ben-Yehuda, in the late 1800's and early 1900's, was one Jewish man living in Israel that believed the chosen people living in God's chosen land should speak God's chosen language and he developed the method of teaching Hebrew to all new immigrants arriving in Israel.

Hebrew, a dead language, is now spoken daily by the Jewish people in the Jewish state of Israel, a fact that has an interesting connection to Bible prophecy.

The fact that Hebrew, the national language of the state of Israel, is the spoken language of the Jewish people today, is in line with what Bible prophecy calls for in the last days.

As the Jewish people celebrate Hebrew Day in Israel, every Jewish person has thought through the process that brought about the revival of what was considered a dead language. For almost 2000 years, the Hebrew language was not used for daily conversation, commerce, or education. As a young married man living in Israel, in the Biblical city of Beersheva, Eliezer Ben-Yehuda first taught his young family to speak Hebrew, then the neighbors, and finally all of the Jews living in Israel. Ben-Yehuda developed a dictionary of the new Hebrew words that he would have to create and even set in place the "Ulpan" which is the training center to help Jewish people learn to speak their mother tongue. The Jewish people speaking Hebrew today in Israel is an evidence that Bible prophecy is in the process of being fulfilled.

Jeremiah, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that God would give the Jewish people their language again when the Lord brought them back home to Israel (Jeremiah 31:23). Zephaniah, another Jewish prophet, also wrote of the Jews speaking a pure Hebrew language in the days of the end times (Zephaniah 3:9).

Jewish people celebrating Hebrew Day in Israel is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy has and will be fulfilled.
