Recently in a four day international conference the descendants of the Biblical figure Aaron, the priestly tribe and the whole tribe of Levi of the twelve tribes of Israel, convened in Jerusalem to learn more about their roots and discuss the latest research proving their genetic ties to the priest who operated the functions of the temple in biblical times.
Members of the Kohanim, the priestly family, and other members of the tribe of Levi were invited to participate in what was billed as the "first family reunion" held since the days that the temple stood in Jerusalem almost two thousand years ago.

The recent gathering of members of the priestly family, the tribe of Levi, that took place in Jerusalem is a precursor to the end time scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.
Over the last twenty years there has been a flurry of activities by religious Jews to prepare for the building of a Jewish temple in the city of Jerusalem. The implements used in the temple for the worship and sacrificial activities have been replicated according to Jewish law. The location of the Ark of the Covenant is known and a red heifer has been secured for its use in the temple operation as well.
Now with the priestly family convening in Jerusalem to receive instructions, there is an expectancy by many Jews for the building of the next Jewish temple. The Bible does describe a temple that will be built by the Messiah, referred to as the "Branch" another name for Jesus Christ, who will come to earth and build that temple, that is Zechariah 6:12. That temple, Messiah's temple, is described in detail in 202 verses found in Ezekiel 40-46.
However, there is a temple that will be built in Jerusalem before Messiah's temple, that is according to Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4 and Revelation 11:2. That temple will be the one in Jerusalem during the tribulation period before Jesus Christ comes back to build His temple.
